Our Approach to Protecting Data

The Seasons of CS professional learning program is funded by the California Department of Education’s (CDE) Educator Workforce Investment Grant for Computer Science.  Based on the terms of the grant, a minimal amount of data about you and your school will be collected, should you choose to participate in one or more of the Seasons of CS professional learning workshops.

Dedicated staff from the Sacramento County Office of Education, San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, UCLA, and CDE Foundation serve as the Seasons of CS Leadership Team and are responsible for collecting the aforementioned data.  These staff honor and respect your privacy, and they will:

The Principle of Least Privilege will be applied when sharing your data; partners will only have access to the data they need to best serve you and your school.

A Note from the Seasons of CS External Evaluators

To learn about the impact and reach of the professional learning program, the Seasons of CS Leadership Team works with researchers from the Kapor Center and the American Institutes for Research (AIR).  In addition to the demographic and participation data described above, you may be asked to share feedback regarding your experience in the professional learning experience.

Confidentiality: When the data have been analyzed, findings will be presented in summary form, and your name will not be used in any report.
